My friend,

I believe every one of us has a role to play in the broader scheme of God’s plan, regardless of who you are, what background you have, you have a role to play.

Looking at the book of Genesis 1v 26-28, we can clearly see that God has laid a burden on human beings, it is a burden to govern the affairs of the universe. Since the fall, man has lost His purpose and as a result he became destructive instead of being creative and constructive.

The Lord of hosts is gathering His troops and as in the days of the early creation, He is once again asking the same question, “Where are you”?, this time however, the question is not directed to Adam or the Church, but to you and me.

My brother and sister, where are you in the battle field of the Lord in our community?

After your little garden, remember that you have the earth to rule and govern as God instructed in the first chapter of Genesis. Most of us have failed the test in the garden before we can talk about the earth.

I believe every one of us has a role to play in making our communities a better place to stay.

Let’s take a look at the following examples from the scriptures as a basis for this week’s challenge:
Ø Adam – God gives him a responsibility to govern and rule the earth with all that is in it. Yet he starts with giving him a garden to prove himself before he can carry the responsibility of managing the universe, later on we see God searching and looking for the man since he left his office before he finished the task given to Him. Your garden is your training platform and you must excel in your garden or you may never be able to function globally.
Ø Joshua – The man successfully ushered the Israelites to the Promised Land, but at the end of his life God says “there is still a lot of unfinished task.”
Joshua 13v1, "...when Joshua was old and well advanced in years, the Lord said to him, 'You are very old and there are still very large areas of the land to be taken over”.
Folks, the intension of this article is to awaken Christians to the challenges and opportunities of our time in Africa.

Together let’s strive to make our continent a better place to live, in our different fields of endeavour we can purpose to change the face of our continent with the help of God as He has gifted us.

Jesus our perfect example finished the race and I believe you and I can, with Him helping us every step of the way
