GOD; direct me along a well-lighted street; show my enemies whose side you’re on (Psalm 27:11 MSG).

As God’s child, your journey in life should be on the clear path of progress, victory and success, because the Word of God is your light. Jesus said, “…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life… (John 8:12). So many are groping in the darkness and experiencing all kinds of misfortunes in their lives, but that’s not your lot as a child of God. You have God’s Word to light your path and show you what to do, and how to be a success in life.

No wonder the Psalmist said “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105). Through the light of God’s Word, you can decipher the relevant information you require for your journey of success. You have to learn to draw the line when it comes to the information that you allow into your mind. Don’t listen to just anything and anyone. Proverbs 4:23 says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

Many young men and women are presently at the crossroads of their lives, without the right information to make the best decisions. To some, the valley of decision is dark, cold and lonely. I would to God they recognize that God is closer to them than the very air they breathe. If only they would open their hearts to the Word and the Holy Spirit, the storms of life will no longer obscure their vision.

If only they would recognize that the Word can illuminate their paths, and the Holy Spirit can guide and teach them (John 16:13), they wouldn’t make so many costly mistakes.
Fill your heart with the Word; let it be the light by which you find your way through life. Make it your compass for navigating through the storms of life.Prayer
Father, I thank you for your Word is my life and the light by which I find my way through life. Let every area of my life be flooded with your light, that I may recognize and walk in the path of your destiny and perfect plan for my life, doing the things you created me for, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
